Quantum Sensing Software Engineer



We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantum Sensing Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Quantum Sensing Software Engineer at QT Sense, you will play a crucial role in developing control software for laser beam pulsing, fluorescent imaging, and photon detector measurements for our quantum sensing platform. You will work at the intersection of quantum physics, photonics, and software development to create groundbreaking solutions for quantum sensing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain control software to precisely manipulate laser beam pulsing and manage the operation of photon detectors.

  • Fluorescent Imaging: Create software solutions for the acquisition and analysis of fluorescent imaging data, ensuring high-quality results and accuracy.

  • Photon Detector Measurements: Develop algorithms and software for precise measurement and analysis of photon detector data, optimizing sensitivity and efficiency.

  • Integration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and scientists to integrate software solutions with quantum sensing hardware components.

  • Optimization: Continuously optimize software performance and algorithms for quantum sensing applications, striving for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of software to ensure it meets the requirements and specifications of quantum sensing experiments.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of software development, including code, algorithms, and user manuals.

  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of advancements in quantum sensing, photonics, and related fields to incorporate the latest technologies and methodologies into software development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in software development, especially in areas related to photonics, lasers, or quantum technologies.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.

  • Experience with control systems, data acquisition, and signal processing.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of quantum sensing principles and quantum mechanics is a plus.
